Il Divo Will Release New Album On November

The operatic pop vocal group, Il Divo formed by pop impresario Simon Cowell, will release its fifth album, The Promise, on Nov. 18. One of its track entitled Halelujah which is a Spanish song will be going to be release, of course with the album. Il Divo is consists of internationally talented tenors including David Miller (American), Sebastien Izambard (French), Urs Bühler (Swiss) and Carlos Marin (Spanish). They had been track down by Simon Cowell for two years 2001-2003.
The band will perform another track from this album, “Amazing Grace,” on The Oprah Winfrey Show this coming Friday. The group will also soon announce plans for a 2009 tour.
“People might be surprised by this album,” says Miller. “Our goal was to approach it with fresh ears and fresh spirits, and try some different things. We’ve still got all the cannons and fireworks, but there is more range, different dynamics, more light and shade, more color.”
The group has sold 22 million albums worldwide. So not surprisingly, an unabashed Cowell, who signed the group to his Syco record label, said: “Il Divo now is probably one of the most successful groups in the world.”
