Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler leaving the band? Tyler leaving a rumor?

He wears Bavarian ceremonial fur-lined coats and dresses his mic stands in scarves.
He has superstitions enough that he will only enter a chauffeured car only from the passenger side (TMZ.com).
And reportedly, he has added another quirk—getting worn out by the autograph hounds and the mistreatment by fellow Aerosmiths (New York Post Online and Levine Breaking News). This is what the 58-year-old frontman’s daughter, Liv Tyler, had been telling people in her sphere.

In our sphere, while we would not begrudge the genius his rest and righteous liberation (after three decades of some of the best rock on the planet), we will be sorely lacking the lip-smacking, style-packing deliveries of authentic rock.

Then again, as urban legends, overblown interpretations, and misused rumors go, this news may not be news at all—and we who have been there from “Dream On” will not have to hang up our Aerosmith tees or turn off our tribute lights.

The New York Post Online further explored the rumor, and while one rep for Liv Tyler could not get in touch with her to confirm anything—if she even said it to begin with—another of the actress’ reps said “Liv Tyler never said anything about her father leaving Aerosmith.”

And no more news bits about the possibility of losing our favorite frontman have since surfaced.
